# Hoppier for Claude and ChatGPT

> Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to Hoppier over MCP: the Teams server for company admins and the Gift cards server for gift-card senders.

Hoppier runs two [MCP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) servers. MCP is an open standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT use another app's tools. Connect one, sign in with your Hoppier account, and ask in plain words: "List my programs", "Add these 40 people to the lunch program", "Send a \$25 gift card to [ada@example.com](mailto:ada@example.com)".

## Before you start

* **Teams server:** you need to be an admin of a company that has AI connections turned on. If Hoppier's sign-in page says your company isn't set up for them, email [support@hoppier.com](mailto:support@hoppier.com).
* **Gift cards server:** any hoppier.com gift-cards account works, and you can create one when you sign in.
* Connecting is free. You pay only for the rewards you send.

## What the assistant never sees

No tool returns your account balance, a participant's invite link or a claim link. Those stay out of the assistant's conversation by design.
