# Hoppier developer documentation

> Build on Hoppier: add people to reward programs with the REST API, get card.claimed webhooks, connect Zapier, or let Claude and ChatGPT run programs for you.

Hoppier sends gift cards and prepaid Visa cards to employees, customers and event guests. Companies run **programs**: an amount per person, what it can be spent on, and the people taking part. These docs show how your own software can work with them.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The Hoppier API is in **closed beta**. Everything on this site runs in production today. Anything that doesn't run yet is on the [Coming soon](/guides/coming-soon.md) page, not here.

> **[Quickstart](/guides/quickstart.md)**
>
> Check your key, find a program and add someone to it in four requests.

> **[API reference](/api-reference/overview.md)**
>
> Every endpoint, field and error, with examples.

> **[Webhooks](/guides/webhooks.md)**
>
> Get a signed `card.claimed` event when a reward is ready for someone.

> **[Claude and ChatGPT](/ai-assistants/overview.md)**
>
> Connect an AI assistant to Hoppier over MCP.

## What you can do today

| You want to | Use |
| - | - |
| Add people to a program from your own software | [The REST API](/api-reference/overview.md) |
| Know when someone's reward is ready | [The `card.claimed` webhook](/guides/webhooks) |
| Connect Hoppier to other apps without writing code | [Zapier](/guides/zapier.md) |
| Ask an AI assistant to create programs, add people or send gift cards | [Hoppier for Claude and ChatGPT](/ai-assistants/overview.md) |

More is on the way: self-serve API keys, creating programs by API, occasion events and more. See [Coming soon](/guides/coming-soon.md).

## Get access

API keys are issued by Hoppier during the beta: email [support@hoppier.com](mailto:support@hoppier.com). [Authentication](/guides/authentication.md) explains what a key can do.

The AI assistants don't need a key. You sign in with your Hoppier account when you connect them.
