The Gift cards server (https://app.hoppier.com/api/mcp/v1) is for people who send gift cards at hoppier.com/gift-cards. It has three tools.
  • search_merchants searches gift-card brands, optionally in one country. Each brand comes with the amounts it accepts.
  • send_gift_card prepares a gift-card send and returns a Stripe Checkout link to pay for it.
  • get_gift_card_status checks a send: pending payment, payment expired, scheduled, sent, failed or expired.

send_gift_card

Nothing is charged when the assistant calls this tool. It returns a payment link, and the gift cards go out only after you pay on that page.
  • Recipients: 1 to 25 email addresses per send.
  • Amount: $5 to $500 per recipient, in US dollars. The assistant sends it in cents: 2500 is $25.00.
  • Brands: limit recipients to up to 20 brands, or leave it open to the whole catalogue.
  • From: your name, as recipients will see it. Optional subject and message (up to 1,000 characters, plain text).
  • When: now, or at a future date and time, rounded up to the next hour.
  • Language: the language of the recipients’ email, English by default.
  • Fee: a 5% activation fee is added to the total. You see the full amount on the payment page before you pay.
  • Retries: every send carries an idempotency_key. Calling again with the same key returns the same send; once the payment link expires after 24 hours, it returns a fresh one.
After you pay, recipients get their gift card by email, at the time you chose.

Limits

Each account can send up to $2,500 per send, $2,500 per rolling day and $10,000 per rolling week, fee included. If they get in your way, email support@hoppier.com.

Status

get_gift_card_status takes the send_id that send_gift_card returned: A send made from another account answers “Forbidden”, the same as an id that doesn’t exist.
